Borrowing
books

You can borrow up to 5 books at a time.

Books can be loaned for either 1 or 3 weeks

Staff can issue a book to you at the desk

Or you can use the self-issue machine.

You will need your student ID card
Returning / renewing books
Please return your books on time - there
is a fine of 10p per item per day for
late books.
If you need to keep a book for longer,
you can renew it:

Laptops, free to borrow, are also available

Self-service laptop lockers are sited close to the LRCs

Laptops can be borrowed for up to 3 hours

Misuse / incorrect return of laptops can result
in fines or suspension of your library account.

Staff and students across the college share and organise information with three portals:

Moodle.
Moodle is a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) that holds course materials such as:

Printing & copying
Black and white / colour photocopying and print-
ing is available in the main LRC area.
You can send a document to the LRC printer from any college PC or laptop.
You can buy print credit from the LRC desk.

Support sessions
Learning Facilitators based at the LRC can also offer more in-depth help, supporting you to improve your study skills and computer skills.
You can book a 1-2-1 with a Facilitator, or a small group session for yourself and a few classmates.
You will also meet Facilitators in your class-rooms when they come to deliver sessions for your group. Facilitators offer support in many areas including:
